Duminică seară, 10 februarie, s-au înmânat Premiile Academiei Britanice de Film și Televiziune (BAFTA), iar cel mai bun film a fost votat Roma, al lui Alfonso Cuarón, în vreme ce The Favourite – care începea seara cu cele mai multe nominalizări (12) – a obținut cele mai multe premii: 7, printre care se află și cele de la scenariu original și ambele categorii rezervate actrițelor – Olivia Colman (cea mai bună actriță) și Rachel Weisz (cea mai bună actriță în rol secundar).
Roma a câștigat în total 4 premii, inclusiv pentru cea mai bună imagine, cel mai bun regizor și cel mai bun film străin.
