The Big Short, al lui Tom McCarthy, a câștigat trei premii: pentru cel mai bun film de comedie, pentru cel mai bun scenariu adaptat și pentru cel mai bun actor într-o comedie (Christian Bale).
Leonardo DiCaprio a fost premiat pentru cel mai bun actor, pentru rolul din The Revenant, în vreme ce premiul pentru cea mai bună actriță i-a revenit Brie-i Larson, pentru interpretarea din Room.
